Well Hung by Lauren Blakely

Rating: Five stars
Date published: September 12, 2016
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Synopsis From Goodreads:
From the NYT Bestselling author of MISTER O, comes a hot and hilarious new standalone...
Here’s what you need to know about me — I’m well-off, well-hung and quick with a joke. Women like a guy who makes them laugh—and I don’t mean at the size of his d*ck. No, they want their funny with a side of huge… not to mention loyal. I’ve got all that plus a big bank account, thanks to my booming construction business. Yup. I know how to use all my tools.
Enter Natalie. Hot, sexy, smart, and my new assistant. Which makes her totally off limits...

Hey, I’m a good guy. Really. I do my best to stay far away from the kind of temptation she brings to work.
Until one night in Vegas…

Yeah, you’ve heard this one before. Bad news on the business front, drowning our sorrows in a few too many Harvey Wallbangers, and then I’m banging her. In my hotel room. In her hotel room. Behind the Titanic slot machine at the Flamingo (don’t ask). And before I can make her say “Oh God right there YES!” one more time, we’re both saying yes—the big yes—at a roadside chapel in front of a guy in press-on sideburns and a shiny gold leisure suit.

But it turns out what happened in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas. And now, my dick doesn’t stay in my pants when she’s around. I try to resist. Honest. But the more we try to keep our hands to ourselves, the more we end up naked again, and the more time I want to spend with her fully clothed, too.
The question now is…do I take this woman to be my ex-wife?

I was so thrilled to get an advanced copy of Well Hung. It's no secret how much I love Lauren Blakely books and this one was no exception. Well Hung is sweet, sexy, romantic, and filled with humor as well. The plot and characters felt very original and real, which is a testament of how good Blakely is at writing. She's written so many books and they still feel as fresh as her first.

Well Hung is a story told in two different parts. The Vegas part followed by the consequences of Wyatt and Natalie's actions after their Vegas shenanigans. I have to admit, the section with Vegas was longer than I expected it to be, but that's okay, because I enjoyed every second of it. I loved reading Wyatt and Natalie's romance. They were so great together. From their sex scenes to their every day talk, I could tell that this was a couple that belonged together. I was really rooting for them to make it work.

I think we all need to take a second to swoon over Wyatt. There's nothing better than a sexy construction worker with a heart of gold. And Natalie herself is also a great heroine. I just loved how she was a black belt in karate and in addition to working with Wyatt, she taught karate classes. I also loved how all her little quirks matched up with Wyatt's, like them making animal sounds at each other.

Perhaps my favorite part about this whole story was not any of the little things, but the bigger picture. I loved how the romance aspect was simple yet at the same time not at all. Yes, Natalie and Wyatt obviously had feelings for each other, but it was far from easy. They really had to work to get to that place where they could have their happily ever after. So much stood in their way, including how complicated their work situation was. It led to much confusion about what was right in their situation, which I think many people will like. Pretty much all of us are a sucker for the forbidden romance genre. In the end, they finally worked through it all in the most satisfying way possible.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Well Hung and look forward to many more Lauren Blakely releases in the future. Make sure you snap this one up when it comes out September 12.
